Students arrive in the morning at 7:45 a.m.  Classes begin at 7:50 and end at 2:40 p.m. A recess break is given at 9:30 a.m. Parents are encouraged to send in students with healthy snacks & lunches.  We are extrememly fortunate to have our own cafeteria which is open daily.  Nutritious snacks and hot meals are prepared for students/staff at a minimal cost. Lunch hour at school is from 11:20 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. A monthly menu is sent home with the students.menudec2011  Students eat their lunch and are supervised in the gymnasium.  We are also fortunate that we have the use of 3 microwaves for heating up any lunches the students bring from home..

  • Monthly Healthy Breakfast (Kanesatake Health Center initiative)
  • Superkid Assembly held every month (encourages positive behaviour)
  • Regular Anti-Bullying Sessions
  • Drug & Alcohol Prevention workshops (Kanesatake Health Center initiative)
  • Leadership Program
  • Health Canada Dental Hygienist Annual Examinations
  • Annual Science Fair (Kanesatake Schools)
  • Grade 4 HPV and HEP A & B Immunizations (Kanesatake Health Center initiative)

Other stuff!!

Remembrance Day - Friday, November 11.  Parents are encouraged to join us annually at the Pine Hill Cemetary for a ceremony in the presence of local veterans.  We take time to reflect of the significance of the day. Community members, staff & students are able to make a small coin donation to the legion and receive a poppy.
